Honourable Minister for Communications , Innovation and Digital Economy

Dr. Bosun Tijani currently serves as Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy. He holds a PhD in innovation and economic development and has a background in economics and information systems.

Usman Gambo Abdullahi

Head IT Projects Clearance

Usman Gambo Abdullahi, PhD is the Head, IT Projects Clearance, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

Prior to joining NITDA, Dr Abdullahi served for six years as the pioneer Director, Accreditation, Curriculum and Quality, Centre for Management Development (CMD), Nigeria’s foremost Human Capital Development Agency.

Dr Abdullahi has been in the UK for almost twenty years and has served in several capacities including:

While in Nigeria, he served as a Computer Science Lecturer at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, as well as other Nigerian Universities. He has also served as a consultant for private and public institutions in Nigeria.

Dr. Abdulahi holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Nigeria, and a PhD in Human Computer Interaction from Loughborough University, United Kingdom. He is also a registered PRINCE2 Practitioner, an Agile Project Management Practitioner, a holder of a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and a holder of a number of other professional qualifications. He is also a Member of the Association of Computing Machinery (MACM) and the British Computer Society (MBCS).

Dr. Usman has published extensively in national and international journals and has facilitated, delivered, and coordinated a number of Seminars, Workshops and Conferences in Nigeria, Europe, and the Middle East.

Currently Head of the Agile Solutions Practice Centre at Sterling Bank, BB shapes technical strategy, drives innovation, and champions agile product delivery across teams of up to 250.
