Day Three

GovTech Training

The nation runs on systems no one sees, until they fail.

A focused, closed-door training on testing the systems 200 million Nigerians depend on — a three hour working session, hosted onsite at NITDA and open nationwide by video link. Not the full Abuja Summit production; a tight, practical briefing built for busy officers.

The Stakes

Every citizen service is a test case.

A National Identification Number that will not verify. A tax portal that times out at the filing deadline. A government payment that leaves a beneficiary's account and never arrives. A health record that does not load when a patient needs it most.

None of these are software problems in the abstract. They are quality engineering problems — the discipline of deciding what could go wrong, before a citizen finds out the hard way.

Government Day exists because the systems carrying the most consequence in this country are often the ones tested the least formally. This is the session where that changes.

Why this day is not optional

Four reasons your agency should be in the room.

01

First briefing on the NITDA Software Testing Framework

Newly released, and directly relevant to how your agency's digital projects will be assessed. Attend before your MDA has to comply with it, not after.

02

No travel, no cost, no reason to send no one

Nominated officers join by video link from their own desks nationwide. There is no budget line this requires and no office this excludes.

03

A seat among the institutions setting the standard

This session convenes NITDA, the regulators, and federal MDAs together, at the same table, on the same day. The agencies not in the room will be reading about it afterward.

04

Practical, not ceremonial

This is a working session — testing standards, real case discussion, and a framework briefing — not a keynote-and-photograph formality.

The Programme

What you take away

You don't leave with just notes.

A signed copy of The ABC of Software Testing

Africa's first software testing book, personally signed by the author. Every onsite attendee receives a copy on the day; virtual attendees can claim theirs at any NSTW 2026 touchpoint or request delivery.

The Framework briefing pack

A take-home reference summarising the NITDA Software Testing Framework, built for briefing your own agency leadership afterward.

An official certificate of participation

Printed on the day for onsite attendees; issued digitally to virtual attendees within the week.

Direct access to regulators and NITDA leadership

The room, the floor for questions, and the relationships — not a broadcast you watch, a table you sit at.

A named seat in the founding conversation

Government Day convenes the institutions setting the national standard for public-sector software quality. Your agency's participation is on the record from the start.
